  • School Wi-Fi Hotspots are in place and your mobile classrooms are connected; However, teachers and students are not able to turn the Wi-Fi off at the end of the educational activity: you are then asked about the compliance of your facilities with the Abeille Law
  • You plan to deploy tablets that must be able to connect at all points of your schools; at a distance from their charging suitcase and their integrated WiFi access point: a Wi-Fi infrastructure covering all buildings is necessary but must nevertheless comply with the legislation…

Among the very few solutions to these problems, PoE-Sea is undoubtedly one of the most relevant for its simplicity and universality.

PoE-Sea: Wireless device for PoE, PoE+ or PoE++ power supply remote control.

The PoE-Sea is a complete device integrating a wireless switch and a cut-off module, both compatible with the EnOcean. standard. Access the PoE-Sea product sheet on the EnOcean Alliance website.

An input/output PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ cut-off module

The PoE-Sea device complies with PoE 802.3af and 802.3at standards.

The cut-off module integrates several relays to manage the switching on or off of any type of networked equipment - old or new generation -, whether it is powered by PoE, PoE+ or PoE++: camera, IP phone or Wi-Fi Access Point.

A device particularly adapted to the Education sector

The PoE-Sea is part of the Wi-Fi repository published by the Digital Commitee for Education (DNE). Initially designed for the industrial sector (IoT), this device meets the expectations of CIOs and public authorities, in charge of the wireless infrastructures deployed in primary schools to:

  • Control energy consumption,
  • Strengthen the security of wireless access to the computer network.
  • Ensure the compliance of WiFi installations with current legislation (Abeille Law).

Management and supervision of large WiFi parks

The management of a clock / permanent date greatly enriches this device to force the powering of WiFi terminals (i.e WiFi terminals night firmware update) or the blocking of control switches (preventing wireless access at night or on weekends).

A "universal" device, self-powered and compatible with any PoE equipment

A self-powered control device

  • Un interrupteur sans fil est posé dans chaque salle de classe ou dans les zones couvertes en WiFi ;
  • La technologie EnOcean permet au dispositif de fonctionner de façon autonome en produisant sa propre énergie ;
  • L’interrupteur dispose de deux boutons pour commander séparément l’allumage et l’extinction de bornes WiFi, ou de tout autre PD (téléphone IP, caméra…) ;
  • In addition, a configurable timer can be activated to automatically turn wi-Fi off after a delay.

A universal cut-off module, compatible with any model of Wi-Fi terminal

  • Le système intègre un module EnOcean à deux voies qui peut être appairé avec un ou plusieurs interrupteurs EnOcean. Il s’insère entre le switch (PSE) et le PD -la borne WiFi, par exemple-, pour assurer la négociation avec la source d’alimentation PoE (802.3af ou at) en fonction de la puissance requise (type 1 ou 2 / classe 1-4) ;
  • When the WiFi terminal covers several zones or classrooms, the device provides that all the switches in each of the zones or classrooms, are on OFF to cut the WiFi access point.
  • Conversely, the commissioning of WiFi can be controlled from any switch located in its coverage area.
  • Enfin, pour limiter la consommation d’énergie, le module de coupure PoE-Sea passe en mode économique quand le WiFi est coupé (Type 1 / classe 1 – < 4 Watts).
